I have a feeling of satisfaction.

Biography of Anastasia Baryshnikova

After all, when I was talking about medals in Taekwondo, everyone implied you first. Some responsibility was laid. It was probably more positive in this, because I myself did not allow myself to relax. She believed in myself, knew that I could take a medal. Belief in themselves and luck played an important role. First, the World Cup was held, on which I was in prizes, then the European Championship.

For four years, I received the prizes of international competitions, held in the top three. And our leadership already put on me, they knew that I could get a medal. Of course, I would be more happy with a gold medal. But I do not regret anything. I got what I deserved, and content with bronze. I am happy about what I have. Probably morally prepared as usual? Before the final fight, I was very worried, worried, understood that my fate was being decided: either I went to the final or compete in a comforting round, which I did not really want to.

And excitement, emotions went off scale, and it prevented me from. When I went to the fight for the bronze, I was already confident in myself, threw back all the extra emotions, tuned in to what I needed to win, and it helped me. And, for example, in the Olympic village, the difference was felt. Each team lives separately, all athletes live together, meet in the dining room, get acquainted.

It was so surprising and pleasant to me. Not every day you see so many titled athletes, but with some you live on the same landing. And the coach told us that you should not spray, it is better to accumulate strength and emotions to your performance. And after the competition there was already a closing ceremony, so it was not possible to go anywhere.

What will you remember after years? It's nice when a medal is hung on you, this feeling cannot be conveyed in words. It is a pity that it was not possible to listen to your anthem, but nothing bad - still ahead. But I do not know how my life will turn out. As the saying goes, if you want to laugh God, then tell him your plans for tomorrow. Therefore, I will not make anything, I will only say that I am not going to leave sports.

How will it affect the further development of the sport in general? For twelve years, we have not had medals at all, and no one has climbed onto the last Olympics, but now such a wonderful result is two bronze. I think that now the best conditions will be created for our sport. For example, I know that there will be a base in Sochi, which may be adapted for our sport, and we will constantly go there.

I don’t know for sure, but there is talk that the Russian team in Taekwondo should have its own base. Now we will more often go to international starts. I hope that all this will bear fruit and at the next Olympics in Rio we will already have a gold medal.
