The music of street artists never leaves me indifferent, which means that Light in Babylon, who often play on the streets of Istanbul, simply could not:- the group “Light in Babylon” group “Light in Babylon” of this small international commune in their compositions was harmoniously combined at once at once, several crops and ethnic groups at once. The group includes a singer from Israel, a percussionist of Iranian descent - Michal Eliya Kamal, a Turkish Santurist plays on a string stringed instrument of the genus Cumbal - Meteikhan Chitfchi.
There is a Frenchman in this talented group, the guitarist is a julienn Demark. And the beginning of the now popular creative team was laid almost 9 years ago, when the paths of Julien and Michal crossed the world during their travels around the world. Young musicians created a kind of polycultural community of independent artists entitled “Light in Babylon”. The repertoire of the musical team in a reasonable proportion combines traditional folklore and original copyright compositions, popular melodies of Iranian and Turkish, Spanish and Arab music, such unforgettable and exciting oriental motifs.
And the scenic stages for them were Istanbul streets and small cozy cafes. Thanks to the help of the percussionist Jabbar Bosie, they recorded their first album Istanbul. The confidence that all people of the Earth will follow the path of light even through the darkness of Babylon. This is also sung in their songs. All sensual and exciting melodies of their performance consist of many elements that the musicians try to combine. And it doesn’t matter that they all speak different languages and belong to different cultures and nationalities.
They were united by music, which is able to connect all people on the globe into one large creative family. On the streets of Istanbul, a truly special atmosphere for the performance of such melodies. Often they can be heard on the endless truth of Gaddezi. Hundreds of thousands of people pass before the musicians, everyone has their own thoughts, their own philosophy and religion.
Only such music is able to erase all the boundaries between people and unite us. This music penetrates into human hearts and from there again returns to talented musicians as enthusiastic emotions and applause. The impressions of their concerts are indescribable. More recently, the group released a new video from Cappadocia. When you look at the plastic flexible movements of soloists, it is simply impossible to take your eyes off.
How much grace and energy, passion and sensuality, femininity and soulfulness in it. They even have instruments are quite ancient, and the sounds extracted from them are truly divine.
