Their names are called streets, they have firmly entered history. Who are they, these great artists? How did they get into the world of art, and how did their fate develop? Viktor Vasnetsov was born in the village in the family of a priest. His first paintings were devoted to rural life. He also readily painted landscapes. He studied at the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. During his studies, he painted illustrations for fairy tales, household scenes. The fame of Vasnetsov was brought by paintings on historical topics, based on fairy tales and epics.
These works are known even to people far from art. Vasnetsov lived up to 78 years and died of a heart attack. The most famous paintings: “Knight at the crossroads”, “Alyonushka”. Alexey Savrasov is the founder of the lyrical landscapes. Alexei's father was a merchant and wanted his son to continue his business. The young man did not live up to his father’s expectations and entered the school of painting.
His first paintings were not appreciated. Fame was brought to him by the work "View of the Kremlin from the Crimean bridge in inclement weather." Soon after graduating from the school, Savrasov began to lead the landscape class. He has many worthy works, but he is considered an "artist of one picture." This is the well -known "rooks flew." Perhaps this was the reason for his torment.The artist became interested in alcohol, gloomy motifs appeared in his work.
The last years of his life, Alexei spent in poverty. The great artist died in a hospital for the poor, but his paintings are still pleasing to descendants. Karl Bryullov is an outstanding Russian painter. Carl was more fortunate, he was born in a creative family, his father was engaged in artistic carvings. He noticed that the boy had abilities and sent him to study drawing at the Academy of Arts.

Karl left for Italy, where he painted several paintings. He painted representatives of the Italian nobility and his compatriots. In his last years in Russia, he painted the Isaac's Cathedral, and at the insistence of doctors left the country. The artist lived to be 52 years old, death was sudden.
