Elena Sandakova Biography
Elena Sandakova, the host of Vesti-Ural, on the Russia-1 TV channel celebrates in April twenty years of professional activity and the first year of the new program “Morning of Russia. You have completed a medacademy, and the profession of a doctor sets up a special attitude towards people, to some of their “preparation”. Did you celebrate this? Rather, not. The profession of a doctor is primarily about love for people.
They do not accidentally come to medicine. It has always been with me now, I really love people, they are interesting to me. All and always. Who are you focused on at the beginning of the television path? The standard for me was and remains Vladimir Pozner. I really like his presentation, the ability to listen to the interlocutor, ask interesting questions, find such arguments and logical ligaments that do not leave anyone indifferent.
He knows how to express his opinion so that it is difficult to disagree with him. The depth and power of the personality are felt. This is very lacking in modern interviewers. What did television change you? I really like to talk. With friends, friends, with the family. I speak for a long time, in detail, sometimes too much. How did television change? It has become many times faster.
Even the presentation of the leading in the frame, their speech speed. If you look at the programs of twenty years ago, it can be seen how much less the visual series was, as the presenters and reporters slowly said. Live broadcast and recording are very different genres. Which format is closer to you? Diametrically opposite! Often I say that the actress would not have come out of me, because there are too many takes in the cinema.
It forms very cool qualities: incredible concentration, composure, lightning speed of the reaction and at the same time exposure. In the news, it is difficult to be original, but I also want to remember the viewer. Where is that line between the individuality and impartiality of the announcer? News are not the genre where originality is needed, but in order to remember the viewer, you just need to be himself.
No matter how strange it sounds, but I am at home in the kitchen and in the studio - the same I, just in my two different images. And everywhere I am real, sincere and alive. It is these leaders who are remembered. When I read the news, I really see people there, not a camera, and tell people, not a camera. I am included in the information that I am talking about, it is most interesting to me, which means that it makes a response from the viewer.
Does the role of the TV presenter impose restrictions on your daily life? Like any host, when they find out at the most suitable and inappropriate moment. You get used to it. You understand that, becoming a public person, you can no longer afford, for example, to quarrel with someone in a public place, to show your negative emotions like any living person. But in general, it's nice when you are recognized.
Exactly a year, the premiere of the regional version of the Morning of Russia-Urals took place. How do you remember it? Most of all he was remembered by emotions. To start and learn something new together is cool, especially on television. Already in the first glider there were so many ideas! And then with each program of difficulties it became fewer, and more and more interests.
It really rallied us. The result was a cool program. Based on the year of work and the response of the audience, it was unanimously decided that we were well done. You work in tandem with Roman Sumin. Does partnership help? Once I started my career just from the program where I had as many as two co-hosts. Partnership gives confidence. As in life, everything becomes easier if you can count on a man nearby.
And Roma is just the leader with whom there really is a feeling of elbow, not to mention his beautiful sense of humor! It is impossible to always be in good mood, but for the morning air this is a necessity. How do you tune in front of the entrance to the frame? When the camera turns on, I no longer remember what my mood is. I just live in this place and for people on the other side of the screen.
There is a whole team that worked on the release, and I am only its end point. This is a big responsibility. There is no time for the mood. What could your author's program be? The interview genre is close to me. As I said, I am interested in people. Each person is so unique that if you ask the right questions, sometimes he himself is surprised how much he knows how amazing he is.
Everyone has something to learn. Here is such a program that reveals the personality of people, I would like to introduce. The expansion of the horizons for a journalist is no less important. How are you self -figured? This is one of the main requirements of the profession. The journalist should always be in the information field, even on vacation, should have critical thinking and certainly be well educated.
I think such qualities will not interfere with a person from any sphere, but they are simply necessary for a journalist. I read books, watch online lectures, listen to podcasts. Due to the profession, or maybe characteristics of character, I very selectively approach the fact that I absorb, I only take what is really valuable and useful. Therefore, my communication involved. I try to analyze certain actions, behavior, success and failure. It is to analyze, not to criticize and not evaluate.
This is important. I study a lot in this process. They say the Internet absorbs TV. Does it still make sense to learn this profession? If you feel that this is yours, you must definitely go to study. Even if we assume that the Internet will ultimately swallow TV, it will become a professional journalistic platform. All technologies, algorithms and mechanisms that have long been invented and are used on television will come on the Internet.
Having an education, you increase your competitiveness at times. Remember how direct broadcasts captured everyone in quarantine? But here we joined the usual routine, and voice communications again faded into the background. Why so? Yes, this is my sore question! I am for people to communicate. Communication rules the world. It has already been proven that this is one of the most popular skills of the future.
