Biography of Babajanyan Amazasas
The project is carried out using the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of a civil society provided by the Presidential Grants Fund, “they fought so that I live! I believe that this topic is relevant for several reasons. Firstly, every year on May 9, our country celebrates Victory Day, this is the very day when the Soviet people at the cost of huge losses won a great victory over the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War.
Secondly, unfortunately, less and less survive veterans, so our task is to collect, study and store material about people who defended our homeland. Thirdly, I believe that each person should know his own genealogy: the fate of his grandfathers and great-grandfathers, and then transmit his knowledge to future generations. It is very important for me that the memory of great -grandfathers remains not only in the form of several photographs and awards, but as a whole story built on the basis of documents and memories.
The relevance of the choice of this topic is that in the near future my research work will find practical application and will be valuable for the museum of military glory or for the local history museum, as well as for creating the book “Our Memory” as part of the implementation of a social project. I have a lot to say about their native great -grandfathers who lived, fought and worked during the Great Patriotic War.
But unfortunately, because of the Karabakh conflict, all my relatives from the Armenian village of Getashain, who is located in Azerbaijan, forcibly evicted, and we lost all the photos and documentary sources of memory about them. But I can literally say that the great -grandfather from his father fought from the first days of the war, was brave, reached Berlin and returned with a victory.
And the great -grandfather from his mother served the motherland from the rear. He was the chairman of the village council during the war years.
