However, we must not forget that the whole Bible is written in a peculiar language. Usually people do not say that. Our conversational speech is significantly different from the high poetic language of the book of psalms. But let's start everything in order: “Blessed is the husband ...” “Husband” in the Bible call an adult man. This is the age when the mature young man had the right to acquire a family and act as a warrior for war.

Therefore, the “husband” is a person who is obliged to answer before society and to God for his actions. In the translation of the Bible into Russian, the word “blessed” means “blessed”, or happy. In other words, he is happy with the blessing of God. The first psalm about this speaks - about the blessing of God and what prevents people from having it. Blessed is a husband who does not go to the advice of the wicked and does not stand in the path of sinners, and does not sit in the collection of corruptions ...

The word "wicked" is used in the Bible quite often. What does it mean? What is wicked from a biblical point of view? A wicked person, an unholy people in all books of the Bible is contrasted by a person or people who know and revere the living god. This is a refusal to follow the commandments of God. The Bible calls the pagans - people worshiping the sun, stars, their own hand -made gods or kings and rulers.

At the same time, it must be taken into account that wicked people are not those who do not know God due to circumstances that are beyond them, but those who stubbornly do not want to know Him. After all, sooner or later everyone gets the opportunity to learn about the true God. And depending on what choice a person will make, he will be called either the wicked or righteous, that is, having chosen the right path.

In addition to frank convinced unbelief, there is a more dangerous variety: "Stand in the path of sinners." What does the “path of sinners” mean? Sometimes it happens that a person who understands what sin is and what is righteousness, nevertheless, under one or another pretext stands on the road of sin. It is necessary to remember one thing: spiritual life has no halftones.

Or black - or white. Light and darkness. Evil and good. God and Satan. It is impossible to serve two gentlemen. It is impossible to walk along two roads at once. Separately, I would like to note the word "path": on the path of sinners. The path is the place that you are walking. If you took one step, you will certainly do the next one.

And further and further. This is the law of the road. Take only one step along this path - it will go further. The danger to the soul is considered in this psalm, as if growing. The wicked, sinful, and the most dangerous - the “collection of corruptors” that is, people who teach sin and unbelief, convinced of the expediency of both sin and unbelief. Which of us has not heard such "corruptions" and is not familiar with their arguments?

Familiar rules. How many people in the world live according to such laws! And how many of them, corruptions - teaching how to live like their children and their friends. Many people are not afraid of this influence, confident in themselves. And the Gospel warns: “Do not be deceived: thin communities corrupt good morals” 1 Cor. So: the advice of the wicked, the path of sinners and the collection of corruptions are what deprives a person of the blessings of the Lord.

Blessed is the husband, that is, happy man is far from all this! What is a source, the key to blessing for such a person? What is the indispensable condition for this happiness? This is the following line of Psalm: "In the law of the Lord His will, and he is thinking about the law day and night." The Law of Moses was extremely concern. He was given precisely to the Jewish people, namely in those distant times. This is wrong. To reflect on the word of God day and night means to take care that no thing, no word, no decision goes against the teachings of the Lord, with His commandments. A person should always remember that there is a god who sees everything, knows everything and will ask for everything a report. The concern that our desires, our decisions coincide with the desires and decisions of God, is the right key to heavenly blessings.

What is the blessing of the Lord? What are they concluded? We read further this psalm: “And it will be like a tree planted in water streams, which brings its fruit during its own, and the leaf of which does not wither; And in everything that he does, he will have time. ” It is hardly worth explaining what the drought means for any tree. This is complete exhaustion, infertility and death.

Whatever valuable breed such a tree may be - it cannot be suitable for anything, only for firewood. Another thing is trees growing along the banks of rivers. Even in the most arid years, they are green and fruitful. It is with such trees that a person who lives under the blessing of God is compared. What does this mean - a tree whose leaf does not wither? The seasons are replaced, and the tree is still green.
