Maria Karpovna was repeatedly elected a deputy of the city council. In the year, by the decision of the Sevastopol City Council, she was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Hero City Sevastopol." Her name was carved on the plate of the memorial to the heroic defenders of Sevastopol in years. She was awarded the orders of Lenin, Patriotic War of the 1st degree, medals "Golden Star", "For Courage" and other awards.
